Our 2009-2010 season has gotten off to a great start with performances for the Canadian Paraplegic Association, and at the National Art Gallery as part of their Making Museums and Galleries in Canada Inclusive and Accessible Conference.

Tune in to CBC’s digital cable channel BOLD on channel 277 on Rogers for a segment on Propeller Dance on the show Creative Block. The piece will air a few times starting Saturday, October 10th at 6 pm.

Propeller Dance will perform in the Senate of Canada in celebration of National Child's Day, on invitation from Senator Jim Munson, on Monday November 23, 2009.

Last year the event sold out, and raised $1500 for The Leading Note Foundation thanks to overwhelming audience support. Showcased were dance styles such as Bellydance, Venezuelan Folk, Swing, Persian, Irish, Flamenco, Latin Jazz, Celtic Fusion and more.

This year they aim to create just as diverse and spectacular a show...with all proceeds donated to Propeller Dance, a non-profit organization leading dance innovation by providing dance programming to people with and without disability (www.propellerdance.com). This year's lineup includes Tango, Raks Khaleeji, Tap, Vietnamese and African dance, Swing, Tribal, Contemporary, Bellydance and more!

Our Annual General Meeting will take place, following our community day celebration, on Sunday November 29, 2009 at 345 Richmond Road Ottawa. All members are requested to attend and participate.
